MONDAY UPDATE -- TOM ON THE ROAD AGAIN....

MONDAY HELLO-each day is a little better, a little more normal, eating well, walking better, and running errands with me--
...and FRIDAY morning, he was itching to try to drive his truck since he is not on pain meds, so he drove around the neighborhood, and did very fine-then drove himself to dialysis, and is gone again today at same--so that really helps-more independent, andfeeling better all around.
I lost the big bid by a squeak, as they chose a company doing more metal than we do, so that was difficult after I looked so good to get it, but got a terrific e-mail from client with great compliments and am now working on some other projects elsewhere that should come in easier-I NEED WORK!
Will help alot-
THEN, balance will set in better, and I can see beyond the next moment--
Staying close to home, and that is very good as it is in mid 90's every day! Love the rain showers to cool it down-
Love to all, and happy first day of summer-
MARILYN

  1. WOW, Tom is driving! Unbelievable! He is making big progress! Hope he is careful, as I'm sure he is still weak. But that's great he is out and about and can be more independent. So sorry you didn't get your project you were bidding on, Marilyn -- a big disappointment for you! Hopefully something else will soon open up. Hang in there! You must have a lot of "big knots in your rope" by now to keep hanging on to .... One more day at a time! Thanks for the update. Everyone keeps asking how you guys are doing and so many care about you! Love & cheer, Sharon & Kent (He is still in Haiti roofing but comes home Thursday night!)

  2. Hi Marilyn and all: What a thrill to get your latest update about Tom. Hard to believe when you consider where he was even two weeks ago--they obviously knew what they were doing when they sent him home! Home is best, for sure!
So sorry you didn't get the bid, but, as you say, maybe it will open up some other opportunities. We're pulling for you!
We have Greg's kids here until tomorrow--have had a great time with them. The summer is flying by--can hardly believe it's almost July already. It's hot and humid here--the real dog days of Iowa summer--we're hoping for a break in the showers--ground is saturated and that affects the humidity level.
Anyway, always glad to hear. Hugs to you both and wishes for continued improvement every day.
    Lotsa love, Donna
